Halloween Fun!
Floating Ghosts Science Experience
There was great excitement during our recent Halloween themed science experiment when we were learning about static electricity. We made our ghost tissues float towards a balloon. We did this by rubbing a balloon on our hair to give it a static charge. We made predictions first and then discussed our results.
Awesome Art
First class are a creative bunch. In recent art lessons, we made chalk leaf silhouttes using leaves from outside. We used nice, bright pastel colours. We also created smoky Halloween cauldrons and drew pop art pumpkins inspired by the famous artist Romero Britto. We looked at some of his creations and gathered inspirations from the vibrant colours and patterns he used to make our own works of art!
Nature Walk Scavenger Hunt
We have been learning all about autumn. We really enjoyed going on a nature walk around the school searching for different signs of autumn and natural materials.
Gaeilge-Bia
We finished our bia theme with a game of snakes and ladders using our new vocabulary and phrases. Bhaineamar an-taitneamh as!
