Seashore Safari
5th Class are fortunate to be participating in the Seashore Safari programme with the Marine Institute. We had a very interesting and engaging visit with Sibéal, a Marine Biologist. During the visit we learned about a variety of sea creatures and prepared for our trip to Grattan Beach.
On September 8th, 5th Class set off on a Seashore Safari with Sibéal. We searched for unusual sea shells and did some rockpooling with our friends. We found a selection of crabs, fish and mermaid's purses. It was so much fun exploring with our friends and sharing the sea creatures we found before releasing them back into the sea. A brilliant day out was had by all!
Friendship Week
5th Class had a fantastic week celebrating Friendship Week. We made friendship bracelets with our wonderful Senior Infant buddies, drew pictures reflecting what friendship means to us. We also thoroughly enjoyed a visit to the 6th Class Bake Sale where we bought gorgeous treats.
5th Class painted beautiful pictures depicting their personalities. We enjoyed blending and making our own colours. Afterwards we shared our work with each other.
Welcome Back! 5th Class created beautiful hand drawings.
